San Paolo, Brazil in 2008 has received a number of tourists than ever before.
According to figures from the promotion of tourism and events in St. Paul, SPTuris, the city ended the year well by counting 11 million visitors, including 9.3 million domestic and 1.7 million foreigners. This figure is 2.8% higher than that recorded in 2007, when the city had received 10.7 million tourists.

In 2008, this revenue totaled 120.2 million reais (about 51.5 million dollars), about 9.4 million more (+8.48%) over the previous year. In relation to the 2004 growth rate was 58.78%. Strong results obtained show the hotels of St. Paul had not yet undergone any effect of the global financial crisis.
